Abstractions is inspired by the Japanese phrase, Mono-no-Aware (MOH-no no ah-WA-reh) which literally means “the pathos of things”. Mono-no-aware says that beauty is subjective, and it’s our sensitivity to the world around us that makes it beautiful.

Plantables Calendars is made from waste cotton seed paper, and set to a reusable pine-wood stand.
Before the start of each month, you can write down a prayer or a goal for the coming month, tear the paper, wet it, and plant it under a thin layer of soil. As the seed paper sprouts, nurture the goal or the prayer of the month with your love, water, and light sunshine, and watch it bloom.
