This one arrives in a cone box, which means it lands like a bouquet rather than an envelope, and the unwrapping becomes part of the gift. Inside, a rose worked in handmade seed paper, upcycled cotton scrap with seeds pressed in, tied with cotton string.

Wear it through the festival. Then give the rose its second act: soak it overnight, nestle it under soil, water it with patience. It sprouts into herbs, flowers or vegetables, depending on the batch.
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. Ours also germinates.
